Premiere Partner Service

The Premier Partner (PP) Service assists medium to large service enterprises by providing Semi-Life Cycle or Full-Life Cycle management of Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and Magnetic Tape (MT) drive supply chains. The cycle is straightforward:

Recovery of Field Returns

The first element of either plan is the collection and cataloguing of the customer's HDD and MT field returns. Disk Source will enter into an agreement with its Premier Partners to:

• collect returns
• generate a database of all parts received
• repair all the recoverable parts
• either restore repaired parts to the partner for an agreed repair fee or purchase parts not required by partner at a fair market price.

Guaranteed Supply Line of New Equipment

Your dedicated Disk Source account manager will source and supply your replacement storage needs through our international network of suppliers. The credit generated from your obsolete, defective or not required field returns can be applied directly to your purchasing requirements. Our years of experience in the market and superior purchasing power mean you are guaranteed best market pricing and part availability - even for hard-to-find and end-of-line parts. We also offer period fixed pricing based on yield results and market.

100% Yield in Full-Life Cycle Partnerships

Under the Full-Life Cycle agreement, Disk Source will enter into contract with the Premier partner to provide a 100% yield on field returns of HDD's and MT drives. We will repair or replace (or replace only, at the customer's discretion) all parts received from field returns at an agreed unit price. In other words, your damaged or unrecoverable field return stock will be collected, catalogued and replaced unit for unit at a price which takes account of both the value of your old stock and our unmatched ability to access the best deals on the international market. You'll say goodbye to time-consuming maintenance of storage supply chains and excess stock in your warehouses and hello to guaranteed best market pricing and same day or overnight part delivery.

Unrecoverable Drives Recycled

Disk Source will agree to purchase any field returns found to be unrecoverable at a fair minimum price. These drives will be destroyed and recycled in the most environmentally appropriate manner and at the customer's discretion.

Data Security Maintained

Every drive we receive is data wiped: this includes a data elimination algorithm compliant with the US Defence Department Standard 5220.22. This involves seven exhaustive overwrites of all sectors of the drive, ensuring that recovery of data by any means is impossible.
